This video is a direct comparison between the Pelco® CC3751H-2, featuring Lowlight® technology, and the USAG US-AVC-316 Midnight Ultra Low Light cameras. The video was taken on April 5th, 2009, just after midnight.

Both cameras were configured in their low light setting with standard shutter speed (no slow shutter) and auto gain control.

The videos were taken within minutes of each other under the exact same lighting conditions.

There were no tricks or post processing done on the feeds from either camera.

The feeds were compressed for transmission over the Internet causing some pixelation and color blocking (areas where similar colors merge to form blotches, mostly visible in the sky) that is not in the original recording.

Pay special attention to:

  • The noise level
  • The color clarity
  • The shadow detail
