DVR?

Use DVRs with Enterprise Grade components to build your business through referrals
The easiest way to grow your business is through good referrals. A great way to start is to provide your customers with a reliable DVR.

DVRs with Enterprise Grade components have long life expectancy and are designed to be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These DVRs will keep your customers happy. Happy customers lead to great referrals and word of mouth.

DVRs with Consumer Grade parts lead to bad referrals that hurt your business
Using consumer grade parts will cause your DVR to break down earlier. This will result in a loss of your customer’s data - leading to bad referrals which hurt your business.

What makes an Enterprise Grade video recorder? Three critical components
  1. Power Supplies
  2. Hard Drives
  3. Fans
These components must be of the highest quality to build a reliable DVR. Failures of any one of these parts can cause problems from data loss to total system failure.

1) Power supplies that save your components from heat
Heat is the number one cause of component failure in DVRs. Power supplies with active power factor correction are used in high-end systems by IBM® and Hewlett Packard®. They generate 53.6% less heat than standard power supplies*. USAG uses these power supplies in all its PC DVRs.

2) Enterprise Grade hard drives make your video recorder more durable and reliable
DVRs save and store large video files 24 hours a day. Consumer grade hard drives should not be used in DVRs because they are designed to operate only 8-10 hours per day. USAG’s server grade hard drives are designed to operate 24/7 and have a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of one million hours.

3) Long lasting hydrodynamic fans keep your video recorder cool
Hydrodynamic fans have no-contact, fluid bearings which are far more reliable than standard ball bearing fans. Standard ball bearings have a MTBF of 20,000 hours. USAG’s frictionless bearings are rated to 400,000 hours MTBF. No friction, no noise. You will hear the difference.

How loose cables can damage your system
Watch out for DVRs where the cables are not locked down. They may overheat your system by blocking airflow. USAG’s cable management and open design keep your system protected from heat damage.
The locked down cables (see picture), keep a clear path from the components to the fan. Also note that heat generated from the CPU has a clear path to the fan which removes the heat.

USAG is building a better DVR
Every component must be built to last in a DVR that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for years on end. Pay close attention to the parts and construction of your DVRs…
